Services Provided by the Authority:

In accordance to the basic regulations of the Authority, services provided are as follow :

 

Ambulatory Medical Services:

And whoever saves one - it is as if he had saved mankind entirely) Al- Maaida (05-32), this verse of the Holy Quran represented every humanitarian meaning that we in the Saudi Red Crescent Authority established our bylaws and regulations as well operational systems from that understanding. For that we care on providing patients and victims with utmost pre-hospital care with highly qualified staff ready to serve with state-of-art ambulance vehicles and equipment that guarantee safety and deliver patients on the road with international standards of providing ambulatory medical services before arriving to the hospital.
Distribution of ambulance centers is based on the vision and the message of the Authority to serve and save patients with a reduction in response time as the top priority of our standards in order to reduce disabilities to keep them actively productive in the community.

Training, public and private lectures :

According to article five of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority regulations, it is one of our tasks is community service by providing first aid training courses and lectures on how to deal with emergency cases before the arrival of ambulance team.
For that we worked on educating the community to increase awareness to avoid accidents in partnership with top educational and medical specialized institutions. The following tables show the types of programs given and the number of beneficiaries of training, awareness and educational activities in the community delivered by the Authority.

Volunteering works and participating in public events:

The Authority has invested in volunteering works by spreading and supporting the culture of volunteering and developing its own programs and initiatives. Results benefited both sides where the community received courses in first aid and relief works, and the Authority treasured with the huge number of volunteers to participate in Hajj season since 2002 where they provided noticeable medical emergency services to pilgrims. The Saudi Red Crescent Authority seek great humanitarian objectives as follows:

  •   1) Enrich the national identity with contribution in humanitarian programs..
  •   2) Use help and support of volunteers in emergency cases during Hajj and Umrah seasons.

The number of volunteers serving pilgrims served in the two holy mosques during Ramadan and Hajj season in (2015)
reached 8323 volunteers who obtained the following tasks in several activities and events related to volunteering program including:

 

  •   Serving Pilgrims and visitors of the two holy mosque to perform Umrah in Ramadan and Hajj Seasons 1438 H (2017)
  •   Serving prayers in Fridays' prayers in the two holy mosques.
  •   Support ambulatory centers.
  •   Presence in Sport events for emergency medical services.
  •   Conduct supportive visits to patients and wounded at hospitals.
  •   Presence in public festivals: Janadriyah Cultural & Heritage Festival Venue, Abha region shopping festivals..etc
  •   Presence in various events around the Kingdom: Hail International Rally, Jeddah Marathon, Bookfairs, Events in Al Bujairi national park in Riyadh.
  •   Presence in awareness days and weeks: cancer international day, World AIDS Day, GCC Traffic Week and civil defense week.

The number of volunteers serving pilgrims in Ramadan season reached 1148 volunteers in both Makkah and Madinah. Volunteering teams also participated in Hajj season in Makkah and Madinah reached (509) volunteers in 1435 H (2015)

Saudi Red Crescent Authority contribution for Restoring Family Links (RFL) and services provided in the southern border:

(RFL) is the general term for a range of activities that aim to reduce the separation of family members from each other and their disappearance and to re-establish contact between families and maintain and disclose the fate of people who are missing.
Various services provided for restoring family links in accordance to situations as follows:

 

  •   Organizing exchange of messages between families.
  •   Seeking missing relatives .
  •   Reunite family members and support return

(RFL) is the general term for a range of activities that aim to reduce the separation of family members from each other and their disappearance and to re-establish contact between families and maintain and disclose the fate of people who are missing.

Various services provided for restoring family links in accordance to situations as follows:

  •   Organizing exchange of messages between families
  •   Seeking missing relatives.
  •   Reunite family members and support return

SRCA also participate since the beginning of Decisive Storm and Restoring Hope operations by providing full equipment and medical preparations with fully trained manpower and medical staff to provide the utmost emergency medical services.

Awards and Recognition received in 2019 :

The Saudi Red Crescent Authority is proud for a recognition from the Custodian of the two holy mosques regarding the SRCA mobile App.

The Authority also received the following awards and recognitions:

  •   Second place for "the best communication center" in Dubai Police Global Excellence Awards.
  •   Golden medal awarded by Arab Organization for Social Responsibility.
  •   Second place in the Middle East and North Africa region in 2019 for social training on CPR awarded by American Heart Association.
  •   Recognition at the symposium entitled, "The Use of Advanced Technologies in Hajj-Related Work (Smart Hajj)"
